Students Participate in Operation Christmas Child
Friday, November 22nd, 2013
This year, the Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS) at West Virginia Wesleyan College participated in Operation Christmas Child. The group collected and delivered 166 boxes full of presents for impoverished children. The shoeboxes will be sent overseas to approximately 21 countries including Sudan, Jordan, Pakistan, Australia, Haiti and island communities like Samoa and the Solomon Islands.
Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child.
The FCS is a student-led campus ministry organization offering Christian fellowship, worship and teaching. It is open to the entire campus community, and attendance averages around 50 students.
