Finalists Announced for American Scholar Competition

West Virginia Wesleyan College, in conjunction with Magic 106.5 and WBTQ, is pleased to announce the finalists for its eighth annual American Scholar Program. Voting will continue until Sunday, December 8 for the finalists and can be accessed at www.magicscholar.com.
Finalists are: Kelsey Acree of Mount Nebo, Nicholas County High School; Kaitlyn Ault of Volga, Buckhannon-Upshur High School; Kayla Heater of Orlando, Gilmer County High School; Alea Hess of Morgantown, Trinity Christian School; Tyler Louk and Tori Louk of Mill Creek, Tygarts Valley High School; David Maxwell of Buckhannon, Buckhannon-Upshur High School; Rachel Miller of Flemington, Grafton High School; Jessica Nelson of Morgantown, Morgantown High School; Mikenze Poling of Buckhannon, Buckhannon-Upshur High School; Katherine Reid of Clarksburg, Bridgeport High School; and Shelby Williams of Buckhannon, Buckhannon-Upshur High School.
In collaboration with Magic 106.5, West Virginia Wesleyan provides students from the Magic 106.5 and WBTQ listening area the chance to compete for a full, four-year scholarship to Wesleyan that includes tuition, room, and board. The first and second runners-up will receive four-year scholarships of $5,000 and $2,500 respectively, in addition to other West Virginia Wesleyan academic awards.
The winner of the scholarship will be announced at the American Scholar Day at West Virginia Wesleyan College on Thursday, December 12.
