Mrs. Porter is responsible for the overall management of the Writing Center. Her focus is on recruiting and training peer writing consultants, planning strategies to attract students, and managing the budget. She is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Center including scheduling and supervision of peer consultants, managing the files, and looking for new opportunities to help the Writing Center operate more effectively. She will, on occasion, be available to tutor students.

Haley Maynard

Haley is a sophomore History Major from Huntington, West Virginia with an English Minor in the Honors Program. She has been working as a consultant in the Writing Center since Spring 2008 and served as a Freshman Seminar Student Leader in the fall. Haley is also a sister of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and of the Greek Honorary, Gamma Sigma Alpha.

Ginny Foard

Ginny is a senior from Huntington, WV. She is an English Writing major with a minor in music. Ginny plays french horn in the WVWC Concert Band and is involved with Campus Crusade for Christ. This is her first year working in the Writing Center.

Seth Kitzmiller

Seth is a senior from Buckhannon, WV. He is a English and Art double major. He is editor/chief of the campus yearbook, Murmurmontis, 2009 art editor of the campus literary journal, Vandalia, and is also involved with the Campus Activities Board. This is Seth’s first year as a writing consultant.

Sarah Wilkinson

Sarah is a junior from Beckley, WV. She is a history and English double major. She is co-Editor-in-Chief of the campus newspaper, The Pharos, secretary of history honor society Phi Alpha Theta, and Membership Chair of Mortar Board. She is also involved in the Honors Program and is a Freshman Seminar Student Leader. This is Sarah’s second year as a writing consultant.

Jennifer Elkins

Jennifer is a sophomore from Hurricane, WV, majoring in English. She is involved in the Honors Program, The Pharos, the Academic Affairs Committee, and SIFE. This is Jennifer's second year as a writing consultant.
