For some, the tools-of-the-trade might refer to the newest graphic design software or a state-of-the-art analog console. For the senior approaching graduation, the best tools-of-the-trade are a correct and effective resume and its companion piece, a literate and persuasive cover letter. In addition, every senior needs to develop a set of interview/self-presentation skills that will demonstrate to an employer or grad school admission committee that this candidate knows his or her own strengths and assets, as well as the demands of the targeted marketplace niche, and is able to "sell" the idea of a "good fit".
