New Student Programs
WELCOME!
In a few short weeks, you will walk through the doorway of your first college classroom. Four years from now, you will walk through another doorway - at the Rockefeller Center on graduation day.
To help you get off to a good start, we have designed an Orientation program to assist you through the first days and weeks at Wesleyan. All of the Orientation events will provide opportunities to meet faculty and staff, and other students - while having lots of fun. Until you arrive on campus, we hope that the New Student web site provides helpful information to make the transition to college life a smooth one.
Wesleyan offers many resources that can make your experiences at Wesleyan more rewarding. However, you must do your part by allowing us to help you take full advantage of college services. The following advice can help ensure that your Wesleyan years are happy and productive:
- Don't be afraid to ask questions. It's the best way to find out what you need or want to know.
- If you are worried or concerned about something that happens, tell someone. You'll feel better and we will too.
- Attend class and study on a daily basis. It is better to "keep up" than to "catch up."
- Take charge of your Wesleyan experience. Get involved in student life - it will make a world of difference in terms of your success at Wesleyan! Become the manager of your undergraduate career - no one else has as much invested in its successful outcome.
