WVWC Counseling Center

Online resource center for
college student mental health
and emotional well being.

Life is a journey filled with bridges, barriers, connections, and conflicts. Regardless of age, we all have four lifelong tasks:

• To develop a sense of purpose and determine a path to follow
• To develop personal integrity and community responsibility
• To learn to manage ourselves and care for others
• To utilize the support and resources provided by others

The mission of the Counseling Center staff is to help you in this section of your journey by helping you find the path to enhance your personal development and effectiveness. We are committed to:

  • Assisting you in overcoming personal, interpersonal, and educational problems.
  • Providing training and coaching to enhance self-management, problem solving, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Providing health promotion, risk prevention and harm reduction programs for individuals and groups.
  • Providing resources and consultative services for students, faculty, and staff.
