BWBRS Help
This section is devoted to teaching you how to use BWBRS. Hopefully, after reading the appropriate section, you will be able to do everything that you need to do to get around in BWBRS. So pick the section devoted to what you need to do, and follow the directions. But before you do that, read the following information.
READ ME:
There are some terms you are going to need to know, as well as how those terms relate to each other, and I'm going to try to explain this to you now. Pay attention.
Agency - An agency is wherever you do service. It is the physical site, such as the bonner office, Stockart Youth Center, or the CDC. All service must have an agency.
Service Opportunity - A service opportunity is what you do at the agency. So, if my agency is Stockart, and I tutor children, I would create an opportunity called SYC Tutor.
CLA (Community Learning Agreement) - This is your main site. It is where you do at least 5 hours a week. You should, unless other arrangements are made, only have one of these! These must be made based upon a service opportunity. To follow my tutoring example, once I had set it up as an opportunity, I could add it as my CLA.
Random Service - When you have service to do, you need an agency. If your agency isn't in there, talk to me, I'll put it in. If you don't know what to pick as your agency, talk to me, I'll help you find the best one. Random service is for things like when you go home, and volunteer at a choir concert, or pick up trash alongside the road. It's a one time service catch-all.
