WVWC Bonner Program
Our Focus:
West Virginia Wesleyan College has participated in the Bonner Program since 1992. The general aim of our program is to promote development in six main areas, called the common commitments. These are Community Building, Civic Engagement, Diversity, International Perspective, Spiritual Exploration, and Social Justice. Students actively work toward developing these skills through service. In addition to these six common commitments, WVWC Bonners develop leadership skills. Enrolled students are project leaders at their service sites, host workshops for current Bonners both from Wesleyan and from other schools, as well as organize their own service projects for the local community.
