Both incoming freshmen and on-campus students rightly ask these questions: “Why should I join the Honors Program? Is it difficult to complete? Are courses so difficult that I risk a loss of grade point average if I take a challenging course?” Good questions –and here are some answers. First, courses in the Honors Program meet general studies requirements; thus, the Honors Program fits in easily with a student’s required courses. In addition, professors see Honors courses as an opportunity for intellectual enrichment and design courses to facilitate this goal. And why else should you join Honors?
