Wesleyan Hosts Great Giving Drive in Conjunction with Great Gathering

The West Virginia Wesleyan College Religious Life Office will host the Great Gathering on Tuesday, August 29 at 11 a.m. in Wesley Chapel.  This longstanding tradition rings in the new academic year with Chapel games, live music from the Wesleyan Jazz Ensemble and Concert Chorale, and a welcome from new president Joel Thierstein, J.D., Ph.D.

In conjunction with the Great Gathering, the Religious Life Office is also accepting donations toward the Great Giving, a hygiene drive that supports the Upshur Parish House.  This is Wesleyan’s first event of the year that shows students how to be good community members.  All items donated will go toward the Parish House’s programming, and needed items include hygiene items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and deodorant) and cleaning supplies.  The drive began on August 24 and will run through Friday, September 1.

Donated items can be dropped off at the Religious Life Office or during the Great Gathering.
