West Virginia Wesleyan College’s Wesleyan Singers, Concert Chorale, and Concentus Vocum will present “Women’s Works” on Sunday, November 12 at 3 p.m. in Wesley Chapel.
Under the direction of conductor Dr. R. Daniel Hughes, associate professor and director of choral activities, “Women’s Works” will highlight music by female composers including Emma Lou Diemer, Libby Larsen, Abbie Betinis, Andrea Ramsey, Joan Szymko, Lily Boulanger, and Clara Schumann. The pieces will be performed with a variety of supporting instrumentation, with Wesleyan students on woodwind and brass instruments, and Dr. Lillian Long accompanying on piano.
