The Center for Community Engagement & Leadership Development at West Virginia Wesleyan College will be hosting the 5th ENGAGE Conference of Leadership for Change on February 17, 2018. The ENGAGE Conference allows interaction with students, faculty, and staff from colleges and universities from across the region.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Find Your Place.” Every place that is called home deserves attention, passion, and commitment to equity for all. It is possible to aspire to change circumstances halfway around the world, but change must also happen locally.
Senior biochemistry student Kathryn Robinson of Renick, WV will present the morning keynote speech. Lunch will feature a panel of experts and an exhibit from West Virginia University about the inception, history, and impact of the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). There will also be a closing panel of community practitioners with workshop breakout sessions varying by topic offered throughout the day.
Registration and more information about the conference can be found at https://www.wvwc.edu/campus-life/community-engagement/engage-conference/. Early bird registration closes on January 31st, and the conference registration deadline is on February 7th.
