Planetarium
The West Virginia Wesleyan College Planetarium serves the residents of Buckhannon and surrounding communities with regular public programs.
Our 40-seat Planetarium is located on the 2nd floor of Christopher Hall. Our digital projector was purchased with a gift from the Naylor Family Fund and the Community Trust Foundation. It is a Digitarium Zeta and is capable of full-dome videos.

- Shows run year-round. The schedule is made out two months at a time.
- Showtimes are at 8 pm on the first and third Saturdays of each month.
- Shows last about one hour.
- Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for students/seniors, children under 18 free when accompanied by an adult.
- No reservations required for regular shows – first come, first serve.
- Doors open 1/2 hour before the show.
- Telescope observing follows the show, weather permitting.
- Each planetarium showing includes a tour of the evening sky with free sky charts available.
- We offer free planetarium shows for school and educational groups.
- Group Discounts: groups of more than 10 people attending our regular public shows will receive a discount rate of 25 percent off the ticket price. Reservations required to take advantage of this program.
- Special Groups: If you would like to book the planetarium for a special show, such as a birthday party, corporate function, civic group, family reunion, etc., the cost is $50.
