The West Virginia Wesleyan College Planetarium serves the residents of Buckhannon and surrounding communities with regular public programs.

Our 40-seat Planetarium is located on the 2nd floor of Christopher Hall.  Our new digital projector was purchased with a gift from the Naylor Family Fund.  It is a Digitarium Zeta and is capable of full-dome videos.

Our grand re-opening is scheduled for Saturday September 2nd at 8 pm.  Due to limited seating capacity, please RSVP to (304)473-8330 or for the September 2nd show.

Our regular show times are at 8 pm on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month.

  • Shows run year-round. The schedule is made out 2 months at a time.
  • Showtimes are at 8 pm on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month.
  • Shows last about 1 hour.
  • Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for students/seniors, children under 18 free when accompanied by an adult.
  • No reservations required for regular shows – first come, first serve.
  • Doors open 1/2 hour before the show.
  • Telescope observing follows the show, weather permitting.
  • Each planetarium showing includes a tour of the evening sky with free sky charts available.
