research: Dr. Buice began teaching at Wesleyan in 2014. She earned a PhD in Political Science from the University of Tennessee. She has traveled and conducted field research in La Paz, Bolivia, in addition to living and traveling extensively in Mexico. Dr. Buice previously held a position as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri. Her research interests include the politics of gender and ethnicity in developing nations, the effects of informal economic activity on political behavior, and the role of social movements in policy outcomes. Her research has been published in The American Political Science Review.
