New Student Course Registration

Watch for the Course Preference Form live at this location on Friday, April 10th.

Online Process:
Beginning April 10, deposited students enrolling in Fall of 2020 will be able to file a Course Preference Form electronically to begin the scheduling process.   This form allows an advisor, paired uniquely to your major, to form a perfect first-semester schedule just for you built around your co-curricular activities and prior courses and competencies.   Once you fill out this form, a faculty member or advisor in your area of study will create the schedule and you will have access to it within 14 days.  You will also receive personal feedback from the advisor.  That’s the Wesleyan way!   Your Admissions counselor will also be at the ready to guide you through the process.

Why did we move to this process?
Due to Social Distancing practices recommended in the face of Covid-19, we wanted to ensure that every incoming student received the same personal attention and care as on our in-person event days.  As we moved our current students to online learning for the balance of the semester, we made the immediate decision to create new ways for new students to register and interact with our faculty without needing to come to campus.

What if I signed up for April 18th previously?
For students who signed up for the April 18th event, we will provide special early access to the Course Preference Form.  This will enable you to participate in the same process you would have received on that date a few days earlier than the form is available to all prospective students.

June 22 In-Person Registration
If students or families would rather visit campus in-person, we will hold a Summer Registration Day June 22.   This event will allow families to meet face-to-face with advisors and to attend sessions originally planned for April 18th.   Signups for this event will go live after May 1st.

Other important information:
The April 18 Course Registration Day featured several sessions focused on bill payment, textbook purchase, information technology, campus life and housing, and other facets of the College.    To still allow for these sessions, we will be sending all students who complete a Course Preference Form access to these sessions electronically.  This will allow you and your family to review the sessions at your pace and to have them for reference in the future.  Staff members in each area will be ready to assist you all spring and summer.

What do I do next:
If you’re ready to make WVWC your home, you should submit your Housing and Intent to Enroll Form and Deposit.

Students must file this form to secure housing and to register for courses.   You can file this form at:

Other information about Covid-19 (Coronavirus) and WVWC:
With an abundance of care for our Campus Community, Faculty, Staff, and Students, we did move courses for current students to an online format and most students returned home.   This in no way affects any current programs, scholarship offerings, or processes for incoming students.   We are allowing campus visitations for as long as it is safe and reasonable to do so and the campus remains open.     Whether working on-campus or from home, your admissions counselor is always available to you.  We will respond to texts and emails within 24 hours and are here to assist through the process electronically as we all manage this situation together.   You can also keep up with WVWC content through our social media channels and on our website.
