Junior Marketing Associate

The primary role of a Junior Marketing Assistant will be to develop and support the marketing campaigns for the College. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will work closely with our admissions, alumni relations, academic, and athletic departments to ensure a relevant consistent message is delivered across all marketing communication channels to support the overall marketing objectives of the College. We are in need of an immediate, entry-level hire who is a team player and displays out-of-the-box creativity and innovation to develop fresh marketing strategies and tactics.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in marketing, sales, customer service or other people-oriented fields is desired
  • Prior experience managing or overseeing a group or project will be beneficial
  • Experience in Higher Education marketing is a plus
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication or Business is required (5+ years of relevant and direct work experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • Must be a team player!
  • Effective and professional writing skills are required
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Experience with or knowledge of a variety of tools and applications such as digital camera and video equipment, WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEO/SEM, Hootsuite, and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn
  • Must be willing and able to work some evenings and weekends
  • Must be willing to travel when necessary
  • Must have a reliable source of transportation

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with our team to develop and coordinate marketing communication tactics
  • Attend marketing team meetings/training sessions to ensure you are knowledgeable of all College products, services, and upcoming launches
  • Study marketing materials so you can confidently address stakeholders and customers face-to-face as well as in writing
  • Develop and create marketing materials to include print, digital, and video
  • Attend campus events and activities to take pictures and prepare information for press releases
  • Keep an inventory of all marketing materials and re-stock when necessary
  • Assist with planning, creating, and maintenance of the social media accounts of the College
  • Assist with updating College website on WordPress
  • Assist with the review and interpretation of data analytics to successfully maintain and modify social media and website
  • Some evenings and weekends work will be required
  • Some travel may be required
