West Virginia Wesleyan College School of Nursing invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor. The faculty will teach in the BSN and MSN programs and will be responsible for teaching psychiatric mental health nursing, pathophysiology, and health assessment in the undergraduate program and assist in networking and coordinating with clinical agencies for students in the graduate program to ensure practicum sites are available for student experiences. The School of Nursing at Wesleyan boasts BSN, MSN, post-graduate FNP certificate, and DNP programs with a rapidly growing student enrollment. The state-of-the-art simulation lab employs cutting-edge technologies to prepare students to embrace a myriad of opportunities in nursing. Faculty in the school enjoy supportive, collegial relationships and the opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary teaching, research and scholarship.

A successful candidate will have a MSN degree (doctorate preferred), national APRN certification, have a valid (or qualify for a valid) West Virginia nursing license, a minimum of two years of current psychiatric mental health nursing experience and an unencumbered driver’s license. Previous experience as a faculty member is preferred.
