Title IX

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 states:

No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.

West Virginia Wesleyan College is committed to providing an environment that is free from all forms of discrimination on the basis of sex/gender and offers many resources to students, faculty, and staff to address concerns and promote a campus culture of respect.

Title IX Coordinator

The Title IX Coordinator oversees the investigation and resolution of all reports and complaints made by students, employees, and visitors of alleged sexual or gender-based discrimination, harassment, or misconduct in accordance with College policy.

It is the responsibility of each member of our campus community to be familiar with Title IX and the College policies associated with sex and gender-based discrimination, harassment, and misconduct. Please review the Sex/Gender-Based Sexual Misconduct Policy [LINK] to ensure that you are fully informed of your rights and your responsibilities as a member of our community.
