WV Wesleyan College is seeking a Financial Aid Counselor.

WV Wesleyan College is a private institution that offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The Financial Aid Office is seeking an energetic, creative, and innovative individual with Financial Aid experience. Under the general supervision of the Director, the Financial Aid Counselor will assist with the overall operation of the Financial Aid Office and help develop innovative plans in Financial Aid to support the College’s goals of attracting and retaining a diverse student population.

Duties will include successfully administering federal, state, institutional and private scholarships and submitting related reports; analyzing and implementing financial aid policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Title IV and other programs; actively participating in all daily functions and other related duties as required.

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree is required, and a preferred 2 years of experience in a Financial Aid office in higher education.

The successful candidate will:
• Demonstrate knowledge of pertinent institutional, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures related to the administration of financial aid awarding and reporting.
• Possess experience with the Colleague Financial Aid module is preferred and Doc E-Scan system.
• Experience with Microsoft Office a must.
• Demonstrate leadership and team building skills with a positive attitude toward daily challenges.
• Must possess the ability to multi-task and be able to process high volumes of work with accuracy.
• Exhibit superior customer service to student, faculty, and staff.
• Be flexible in work hours during peak periods as some nights and weekends will be required.
