BUCKHANNON, West Virginia — West Virginia Wesleyan College is partnering with an alum-founded business to bring Numanity’s digital environmental education to students.
Currently in Beta form, Numanity’s environmental education app connects environmental experts with individuals, helping them reconnect with nature and better understand how it plays a role in their everyday lives.
For West Virginia Wesleyan College, Numanity will connect students to environmental experts and faculty will incorporate the app into their classes.
Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Lynn M. Linder said, “This partnership reflects our continued commitment to integrating innovative learning tools that prepare Wesleyan students to think critically and act responsibly as global citizens. We’re especially proud that this collaboration grows from the vision and leadership of one of our own alumni, whose work with Numanity exemplifies the lasting impact of a Wesleyan education.”
Numanity Cofounder & Chief of Strategic Partnerships Erik Kasperowski ‘22 added, “Our team at Numanity is honored to partner with West Virginia Wesleyan College with the collective goal of enriching students’ development towards greater eco-literacy and service opportunities. As an alumnus of WVWC, both the college and the state of West Virginia’s beautiful natural landscape have a special place in my heart. This collaboration will strive to educate toward a collective betterment of both student experiences and the conservation of West Virginian ecosystems.”
