West Virginia Wesleyan College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Nursing starting in January 2023. Appointment to tenure track is possible if the qualifications of the successful applicant and the needs of the institution align.

The successful candidate will teach in the BSN and MSN programs and will be responsible for teaching pediatric and maternal child nursing in the undergraduate program and assist in networking and coordinating with clinical agencies for students in the graduate program to ensure practicum sites are available for student experiences. Requirements include an MSN degree (doctorate preferred), a valid (or qualify for a valid) West Virginia nursing license, and an unencumbered driver’s license. Previous experience as a faculty member is preferred. The successful candidate will have the ability to articulate the needs of the School of Nursing, support a collegial work environment, appreciate the significance of rural clinical experience and distance education, and have the desire to join with us in building a program that will be recognized as a model in its teaching, research, practice and service achievements.

The School of Nursing at Wesleyan boasts BSN, MSN, post-graduate FNP certificate, and DNP programs with a rapidly growing student enrollment. The state-of-the-art simulation lab employs cutting-edge technologies to prepare students to embrace a myriad of opportunities in nursing. Faculty in the school enjoy supportive, collegial relationships and the opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary teaching, research and scholarship.
