I chose Wesleyan because: I chose Wesleyan because of its long-standing tradition of excellence and the profound impact it has had on my family. Both of my parents, who are proud WVWC graduates, were able to build a strong educational foundation here that propelled them toward successful careers. My older sister, now a Wesleyan alumna, also thrived academically and personally during her time here, further affirming my decision to follow in their footsteps. With its superior science department, Wesleyan will provide me with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities I need to pursue my career goal of becoming a surgeon.
What I love about Wesleyan:
What I love about Wesleyan is the genuine sense of community and support that defines the campus. The professors are deeply invested in their students’ success, and the environment encourages everyone to push themselves while also lifting each other up. I am grateful for the wide range of opportunities that Wesleyan provides, allowing me to be involved in so much while growing as a learner and as a member of the community.
Future plans: After graduating from Wesleyan, I plan to attend WVU Medical School to earn my medical degree, with the goal of becoming an orthopedic surgeon. Through shadowing experiences, I have seen how surgeons can make a real difference in patients’ lives, and I hope to use my skills to give back and serve the community that has been so good to me.
