BUCKHANNON, West Virginia — West Virginia Wesleyan College’s School of Nursing is celebrating an outstanding achievement, with 100% of its Class of 2026 nursing graduates taking the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and successfully passing the exam.

The 100% pass rate reflects the strength of Wesleyan’s nursing program, the dedication of its faculty and, most importantly, the hard work and preparation of its graduates as they take the next step toward careers in health care. All Class of 2026 graduates have also gained employment in a nursing field. 

Dr. Kimberly White, PhD, MSN, RN, director of the School of Nursing, said, “I am incredibly proud to recognize the outstanding achievement of our 2026 nursing graduates. This represents far more than a passing examination score. It represents the dedication, perseverance, clinical preparation, and professional commitment demonstrated by our students throughout their nursing education. It speaks highly of the quality and rigor of our instruction, clinical experiences, simulation, academic support, and mentorship that our faculty and staff provide to our students.  I am also very pleased to say that 100% of our new Registered Professional Nurses this year have stayed in state and are currently providing nursing care throughout our local communities in West Virginia.”

The NCLEX-RN is the national examination used by nursing regulatory bodies to determine whether nursing graduates are prepared to enter practice as registered nurses. Success on the examination represents the culmination of years of classroom instruction, clinical experiences, skills development and hands-on preparation.
